I was commissioned by Nura to design an interface / data visualisation that illustrated how their innovative new headphones adapt to the unique hearing profile of each user. The design not only had to visualise the unique data from each person's ears but also guide them through the calibration process and visually demonstrate the difference between 'calibrated sound' and 'uncalibrated sound'.
We decided early on that the unique generative artwork created by the profile of each user should be intrinsic to the Nura identity. The design was refined through many iterations with the Nura team towards something that was recognisably from the same Nura brand but contained within it almost infinite variation in shape and colour to represent each user's unique hearing 'signature'.
